DeWayne L. Davis

He was born Monday, May 10, 1937, in Muncie, the son of Joe and Margaret Davis. DeWayne lived his entire life in the Muncie area. He worked many years in the upholstery business. DeWayne loved riding his Harley, restoring classic cars, shooting his bow, and watching old movies. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge. Mr. Davis was a US Army National Guard veteran.

Survivors include his sons, Mike (wife Phyllis) Davis, Jim Davis, Jeff Davis, Steven Davis and Troy (wife Kathryn) Davis; step-daughter, Cheryl (husband Mike) Purvis; brother, Dick (wife Gloria) Davis; sister-in-law, Becky Davis; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Davis and Margaret Davis Lines; first wife, Sharon Davis Houseler; second wife, Carolyn (Sandoe) Davis; sons, Travis Davis and Tom Davis; brothers, Joe Davis and Ronnie Davis; sisters, Joann Herin and Patricia Adkins.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Military Rites by Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
