Dianna L. (Anderson) Herwehe

Dianna L. Herwehe, 69, of Muncie, passed away on August 27, 2025, at her home. She was born on May 29, 1956, in Morehead, KY, the daughter of Ralph and Frances (Jent) Anderson. On July 30, 1988, Dianna married the love of her life, Jay B. Herwehe, in Muncie, and he survives.

Dianna graduated from Yorktown High School in 1974 and went on to receive her associate’s degree in accounting from Ivy Tech, where she met Jay. She worked in Accounts Payable at LifeStream Services for 22 years. Dianna enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling. She and her daughter, April, and granddaughter, Angel, were “shopping buddies”, as they always enjoyed trips to Edinburgh, Fort Wayne, and Cincinnati. Dianna loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family; she had a heart of gold and, overall, was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother.

Dianna is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Jay; daughter, April (Scott) Smith, Yorktown; son, Darrick Herwehe, Indianapolis; grandchildren, Dawson Smith, Kelby Herwehe-Schounce, Josiah Smith, Angel Smith, Hayden Herwehe, and Emma Herwehe; brother, Barry (Carol) Porter, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; brother, Ronnie Lambert; and grandson, Noah Smith.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 4 pm until 7 pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025, and from 11 am until the time of the funeral on Friday, at the funeral home.
