Doris Orean Jones

Doris O. Jones, 83, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Reid Health. She was born Friday, September 22, 1939, the daughter of Elvis and Pauline (Durnill) McDonald. Doris retired from Ball State University after over thirty years. She loved to spend time outdoors, especially growing flowers. Doris was an avid painter and was very talented. Survivors include her sister, Velma Bowling and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by grandparents; parents; sister, Linda Johnson; and brother-in-law, Cloyd Bowling. Family and friends may call from 11 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Services will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
