Edna Mae Spurlock, 68, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at home with her family by her side. Edna was born Saturday, August 23, 1952, in Muncie, Indiana, to Alberta Sneed. She married Thomas Spurlock on February 4, 1972, and they shared forty eight wonderful years together.
Edna waitressed part time at restaurants, but she was a homemaker. She took care of her husband and two children, Billy and Valerie. Edna and Tom attended Red Key Community Baptist Church. Edna loved singing and going to church. She was very involved with ladies' meetings, helping in bible school, being song leader, and anything else she could do. Edna also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandson, Zaden.
Edna is survived by her husband, Tom; a son, Billy Spurlock; a daughter, Valerie Falkenstein (husband, Shannon); a brother, Randy Sneed (wife, Denise); grandchildren, Destiny Spurlock, Cassidy Spurlock, Haley Spurlock, and Jonathan Spurlock; one great-grandson, Zaden Spurlock; and a nephew, Robert Curts.
Edna was preceded in death by her mother, Alberta Sneed; one sister, Shirley Curts; one brother-in-law, Bob Curts.
A public visitation for Edna will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
Funeral services for Edna will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a mask is required. To be safe, remember to adhere to the six foot social distancing.
