

Haiganoosh was born April 23, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Harry and Esther Deradoorian. She was active in track and tennis in high school and she was a concert violinist. She attended Wayne State University where she earned a Bachelor's degree, a Masters of Education degree and played for the university symphony. Haiganoosh began a thirty-four year school teaching career in Detroit. After moving to Muncie, she taught fifth grade from 1971 until retiring in 1991 with the Liberty Perry School Corporation in Selma. She was fond of music, literature, and especially science and she loved passing this passion onto her students.
She was a devoted wife and mother. Haiganoosh enjoyed spending her time in retirement with her family and seeing and being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include sons, David DePillo; Vaughan (wife Maria) DePillo, and grandchildren, Nicholas DePillo, and Katherine DePillo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Esther Deradoorian; and her husband of fifty-eight years, Norman DePillo.
Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
Family and friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Friday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
