Harold Lewis

Harold Lewis, 79, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at The Waters of Muncie.

He was born September 17, 1937 in Smilax, KY to Bige and Katy (Joseph) Lewis.

Harold served his country in the United States Army.

He had retired as a Mill Wright from Muncie Chevrolet.

Harold enjoyed working, especially building things.

He is survived by his wife, Phyellies (Maggard) Lewis, whom he married April 19, 1958; daughter, Joyce Lewis (Tony Irwin); daughter-in-law, Linda Lewis; brothers, Rev. Billy Joe Lewis, Smilax, KY and Paul Lewis, London, KY; sisters, Susie Hensley, Smilax, KY and Mabel Combs, Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Sean McDonald, Jessica Lewis (Trevor Griffis), Heather Lewis (Dwain Garrett), and John Lewis; great-grandchild, Kaylee McDonald; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Bige and Katy (Joseph) Lewis; son, Harold Lewis, Jr.; sister, Hosea Collett; brother, John L. Lewis.

Services will be at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, December 1st, 2016 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, IN 47304 with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Burial will take place at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
