Hazel Marie Reed

She was born May 20, 1935 in Muncie to Lester Erdle and Margaret (Dealy) Williams.

Hazel had worked at various restaurants serving as a waitress and a cook.

She had been a member of the Muncie Moose Lodge.

Hazel is survived by her husband, Karl Reed, whom she married September 12, 1952; sons, Douglas (Barbara) Reed and Jerry Reed; daughter, Lisa (Les) Coutinho; sister, Betty Crippin; grandchildren, Contessa (Shane) Stilts, John (Meagan) Coutinho, Aaron (companion Christy) Reed, Allyson (Dan) Oryczcak, Kristi (Jerry) Shriner, Kari Reed, Kandi (Jason) Thompson, Haley (Kaleb) Patton, and Jarrod (fiance' Lauren) Reed; twenty-three great-grandchildren with two on the way; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, IN 47304 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rory Bond officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, October 14, 2016 at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Burial will take place at Garden's of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
