Janet S. Williams

Janet Sue Williams, 80, Muncie, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 7, 2021, at Community Hospital in Anderson. She was born Saturday, March 30, 1940, in Muncie, the daughter of Ronald and Evelyn Zapf. Janet loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her memberships include the Eagles Lodge. She attended Church of the Nazarene in the Muncie area. Janet worked at the Ross Corner Market for seventeen years and for several years in the cafeteria at Muncie Schools. Survivors include her husband, Carl Williams; sons, Rick Case and Danny (Tim Burton) Case; daughter, Donna (husband, Richard) Atkins; step-son, Greg (wife, Amie) Hawkins; step-daughters, Brenda (husband, Allen) Ewing, Patty (husband, Jeff) Epperson, Jennifer Gillespie, and Libby (husband, Shane) Murphy; four grandchildren, Brandon Case, Meagan (husband, Jeremiah) Case, Matthew Atkins, and Zachary (wife, Tori) Atkins; seven great-grandchildren, Mya Case, Tegan Case, Kaydence “KD” Case, Isaiah Spoonmore, Josiah Spoonmore, Laila Spoonmore, and Ellie Atkins; half-brother, Robert Collins; step-sister, Sheila Dole; and a half-sister, Connie Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Evelyn Zapf; sister, Patty Sturgeon; and a step-son, Ricky Williams. Per her wishes, cremation arrangements have been made. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
