Never would we dream a man as strong, talented, and fun, with a heart of gold, would leave this world way too soon. A beloved Husband, Father, Grandpa, Brother, and a great friend to many, was taken from us on October 21st after a long battle with cancer. Jeff fought everyday with the help from his wife of thirty-nine years, Jill; kids, Jennifer (husband Dwayne), Jason (wife Ashley), and Jeremy (fiancé Heather); grandkids, Kayla, Drake, Kelsie, Delaina, Reina, Canden, Landyn, Jeffery, and Eastyn; great-grandkids, Kyndal and Paisley; as well as many beloved family members and friends.
Jeff was born on Saturday, January 13th, 1962, in Muncie where he resided his entire life. He worked as a general foreman in the electrical line clearance industry for nearly thirty years working for both Nelson Tree and Asplundh. Jeff loved life. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and working in the garage, but most of all, spending time with his family. Jeff was a great cook and enjoyed entertaining during the holidays. One of Jeff’s greatest passions was riding his Harley with his wife. A man as great as Jeff is hard to find and if he considered you a friend, you were a friend for life.
Jeff is survived by his siblings, Charles (wife Yon), Sis (husband George), Mike (wife Bonita), Elvin (wife Paula), and Jeanie (husband Roy); father and mother-in-law Jim and Sue Hines; sister-in-law, Julie Hines; and brothers-in-law, Tim, Tom, and Jim Hines; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Elwood; mother, Alice; and son, Jeffrey Jr., as well as maternal and paternal grandparents.
