He was born May 14, 1941 in Jay County to Arthur and Mary Bailey.
Jerry had worked at Smith Brothers of Berne IN for over 60 years.
He attended Albany Christian Church in Albany, IN.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Mays) Bailey; sons, Norman (Tonya) Bailey and William Bailey; daughter, Julie (Randy) Loyd; step-children, Terry (Pam) Mosser, Jeff (Vickie) Mosser, Paul (Tammy) Mosser, and Sandra (Charlie) Shellito; sisters, Joan Zigler and Marciel Robinette; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Alice Bailey, and brother, Robert Bailey.
A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Albany Christian Church, 110 Cedar Street, Albany, IN 47320 with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the celebration.
