

She was the daughter of a preacher and was raised with a strong faith, which remained important to her throughout her life. In 1982, she met her husband, Joe Cook, and they had been together ever since, building a beautiful life full of laughter and love. She enjoyed reading mystery novels, watching The Young and the Restless, and had a deep love for animals of all kinds. She also appreciated flowers, especially yellow roses.
Louise is survived by her husband, Joe Cook; children, Tammy (Everett Cook) Heavenridge, Randy (Vikki) Heavenridge and Cindy (Larry Conway) Cox; grandchildren, Chad, Kyle, Randy, Jon, Megan, Joann, Kelli, Rachel and Travis; great-grandchildren, Orion, Pecola, Salomé, Sebastian, Eliana, Landon, Blake, Ashlynn, Lillian, Ike, Ella and Carter; siblings, Veda Slaven, Betty Young, and Bobby Young; sisters-in-law, Sue Young and Martina Young; and her furry companions, Peanut and Teddy.
She is preceded in passing by her parents, Andy and Ada Young; siblings, Floyd Young, Karl Young and Billy Young; sons, Brian Heavenridge and Joe D. Cook; grandson, Rusty Cox; and sister-in-law, Sonja Young.
A service to honor Louise’s life will be held 12:00 PM, Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304. Family and friends may gather from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
