Vorres Day, 94, of Hamilton, passed away at her home on Friday, December 25. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lloyd Day; parents, Willie and Belvia Sandlin; brother, Robert E. Lee Sandlin; sisters, Cora and Rose Sandlin and Nancy Asher; daughter-in-law, Jena Day and a granddaughter, Christy Dawn. Vorres is survived by her son, Willie Sandlin Day; daughters, Gloria Day, Carol (Tess) Deffinger and Sherill Lynn (Reubin) Bailey; sisters, Leona Nichols and Florence Asher; grandchildren, Kimberly, Luke, Mandy, Paul, Patti Jo and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Elizabeth, Rebekah, Jessica, Alex, Matthew, Michael, Scout, River, Charlotte and Sawyer as well as great-great-grandson, James. She was an active member of Bethel Community Church in Hamilton where she served as a Deaconess, Youth Leader for the Junior A.Y.F. and Sunday School Teacher. Private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Vorres' memory be made to Bethel Community Church, 2015 NW Washington Blvd, Hamilton, OH 45013 or The Gideons.
