

Patricia “Patty” Gannon, 74, of Redkey, Indiana peacefully passed away with family at bedside on October 13, 2024. She was born on September 29, 1950, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Fred and Wilma Norris. She graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 1968 and later in life completed an associates degree from Indiana Business College.
Patty had a passion for cooking and for many years was the lead cook at the original Pete’s Duck Inn. She was locally famous for her pan-fried chicken, coleslaw, and many other wonderful dishes. She also had a love for clowns, so much so that she graduated from Clowns & Company receiving the KEKE Memorial Scholarship award for outstanding achievement. She spent years spreading joy as Freddie the Clown, especially to her grandchildren and teaching them the fine art of making balloon animals.
She is survived by three children, Chris Hall, Dianna (Jeremy) Brown, and Michael (Melinda) Hall. Stepchildren, Rodney (Cassandra) Gannon, and Steve Gannon. Grandchildren, Shana Hall, Lauryn Hall, Leilani Brown, Benjamin Brown, Malachi Hall, Olivia Hall, and Michael Hall Jr. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother, Joseph Norris, Pamela Spears, and Susan Earls and several nieces and nephews.
Patty shared an extremely close bond with her grandson Benjamin who also assisted as her caregiver, bringing her tremendous joy.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Wilma; husband, Arnold Gannon; brothers Fred Norris Jr. and John Norris.
Per Patty’s wishes there will be no visitation with a private graveside service.
