

She was born on July 26, 1931, to Ivor and Faye Collins of Nashville, IN. She grew up in that area until her family relocated to Muncie at a young age. She had fond memories she loved to share of her youth growing up in southern Indiana with her siblings. Kay was an avid collector of antiques, plants, and had a passion for quilting.
Kay is survived by her children, Thomas (Pat) Butler of Florida, Robert Jr. (Beth) Butler of Muncie, David (Allison) Butler of Muncie, and James (Joy) Butler of Florida. She was grateful to have a total of eighteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a special niece, Susie Cooper.
Kay’s husband, Robert Max Butler; her parents, Ivor and Faye Collins; son, Jerry Butler; daughter, Marcia Holland; a grandson, Mark Holland; a brother, F.J. Collins; and three sisters, Peggy Armstrong, Carol Warner, and Kathleen Jeep, preceded her in death.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Elm Ridge Memorial Park, with burial to follow.
