Randy Price, 76, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was surrounded by love in his final moments with his loving wife, and in his final days surrounded by his adoring family. His family finds comfort knowing he is finally at peace.
Born on June 29, 1949, in Summit, New Jersey, Randy grew up with a deep sense of justice, curiosity, and compassion—qualities that would shape every chapter of his life. He graduated from Muncie Central High School and went on to attend Ball State University. He later became a Certified Financial Planner and founder of Price Asset Management, where he built his career with integrity and care.
Beyond his professional success, Randy devoted himself to causes close to his heart. He served as Treasurer for Planned Parenthood in Delaware County and was the District President for the Prevention of Child Abuse in Delaware County. He also led with distinction as President of the Exchange Club, where he championed child advocacy and community betterment. A tireless advocate for social equity, Randy spent his life ensuring vulnerable voices were heard and respected. He believed that children deserved protection, women deserved agency, and that communities thrived when compassion led the way.
Randy was an engaged father, a devoted husband, and a brilliant conversationalist who believed in asking hard questions and listening closely to the answers. He had a particular passion for music, watches, and fountain pens, and could just as easily discuss jazz theory as he could economic trends. His love of books, politics, and laughter made him a magnetic presence in any room. He often passed along sage advice like, “If you don’t ask for what you want, the answer is always no.”
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lillian Price; his daughters Amanda Price and Amy Price; and his cherished grandchildren Kai, Brooklyn, Jude, Mackenzie, Cohen, Cameron, and Carter. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Shoemaker; his father, Vincent Price; and his sister, Vicki Stephenson.
In lieu of a traditional funeral, the family will be honoring Randy’s legacy through messages and memorial donations to two organizations that represent his life’s work: Planned Parenthood of Central Indiana and the Delaware County Prevention of Child Abuse.
To know Randy was to know a man of sharp wit, passionate ideals, and endless love for his family. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever celebrated.
