Ray was known for his larger-than-life personality; he was rarely one to sit still. He took pride in his lawn, his pond, and the satisfaction that came from completing a project. Ray loved country music and was a devoted sports fan, proudly supporting the Detroit Red Wings and University of Michigan football.
Some of Ray’s favorite moments were spent at the lake with his family, enjoying time outdoors and slowing down. He also enjoyed taking golf cart rides with his silver lab, Bear, who was always close by.
Ray will be remembered for his strong presence, his straightforward nature, and the way he showed his love through actions rather than words.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Jama McKee; children, David (Jenni) McKee, Tommy McKee, and Laura McKee; grandchildren, Bella See, Jaidyn McKee, and Ruby McKee; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth McKee, Ralph Niggermeyer, and Ruby Niggermeyer; his brother, Kenny McKee; sisters, Diane Killian and Ruthie Roberts; and his faithful companion, Bear.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
