Richard Cooper

Oakley V. (nee Gabbard) - age 87 of Hamilton passed away on Saturday January 17, 2015 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born March 15, 1927 in Hamilton to the late Bob and Pina Gabbard. In October of 1975 in Jellico, TN she married her husband Paul Wardlow. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton. Oakley was a great mother who was totally involved in every single aspect of her children's lives. She will be greatly missed by all of the many friends and family she encountered throughout her life.

She is survived by her children Joy McWhorter, Sue (Chas) Powers and Dennis (Linda) Chaney; brother Earl Gabbard; grandchildren Fawn (Chris) Haven, Randy (Kristy) McWhorter, Chuck (Dani) Powers, Ryan (Tiffany) Chaney and Mickey Chaney and great grandchildren Paxton, Kyla, Taylor, Allie, Maddie, Katie and Lily; niece Linda (Mark) Arnold and nephew David (Tammy) Gabbard; special cousin Sherry Harlow; also survived by numerous great-great nieces and nephews, friends and family; She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother John Baker and sister Genieve Perry.
