Ricky Lee Cunningham

Muncie- Ricky Lee Cunningham, age 71, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 14, 1945 in Muncie to Lonzie and Ester Upchurch Koger. Ricky was adopted by Walter L. and Zelma Frye Cunningham. Ricky was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked different jobs for Coco Cola, Delco Remy, and the Moose Lodge. Ricky enjoyed participating in the bowling league, going fishing, earlier in life when Ricky was involved with the Boys Club: they won the basketball championship in 1960. He also at one time won the Ping Pong championship. Ricky was also a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge. Ricky was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Cunningham, 2nd wife Karlene Cunningham, son William Jewell, daughter Tina Ramsey, and brother Fred O. Koger; Ricky is survived by his family, Sons Ricky Lee Cunningham Jr., Step son Robert A. Jewell Jr.; daughters Tammy Cunningham; brothers Randy Cunningham and James Upchurch; sisters Lucille Upchurch, and Jean Nicholson; 3 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, and several step greatgrandchildren. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ricky's will be Monday, September 12, 2016 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave. at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
