Robert William Flores

Robert William Flores, 41 of Muncie, IN passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020. He was born in Crown Point, Indiana, on Thursday, October 18, 1979, to Robert and Kathleen Flores. Rob grew up in Lowell and was active in soccer and baseball. After leaving Lowell, Rob traveled the country working. He settled in Muncie where he resided until his death. Rob loved to help others. He was able to work with Habitat for Humanity building houses and volunteer at the local food bank. He loved watching his nephews and niece play soccer, basketball, and perform in plays. He was so proud of their accomplishments. Rob loved the Chicago Bears and his Chicago Cubs. Some of his best times were spent with friends at Wrigley Field. You can take the boy out of the Region, but you can’t take the Region out of the boy. Rob loved Michigan, where he had great childhood memories, and Vegas, where he loved to party. He had the best smile and could make anyone laugh. It was usually at the expense of one of his sisters. He would give you the shirt off his back and pick up a conversation like he had talked to you yesterday even if it had been a year. Rob also loved animals. His best friend of 10 years was Madden, aka, Mad Dog. He also adopted a cat named Frank, who spent his final months being loved on by Rob. Rob, we love you to the moon and back and we will see you on the other side of the stars. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Kathleen Flores (Bill Robinson); sisters, Melissa (Andre) Hernandez, Elizabeth (Jess) Willard, and Megan Flores; nephews, Sam and Ben Hernandez, and Henry Willard; and niece, Abby Hernandez. He has also left behind many life-long friends, some as far back as kindergarten. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no services.
