He was born September 22, 1931 in Muncie, the son of Ralph and Iva (Graham) Welch. Robert worked at Bacon-American, Holiday Inn and Crystal Flash. His memberships include Eagles Lodge #231 and the Peoples Sympathy Club #105 and he enjoyed raising Chihuahua puppies.
Survivors include his sister, Betty Green (husband Ernie) and several nieces and nephews, including Jim Reum.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Reum; brother, John Welch and a close friend, Alice Woodson.
Services will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Elm Ridge South Mausoleum Chapel, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, IN 47304 with Pastor Jeffery Reum officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Saturday at Elm Ridge South Mausoleum Chapel.
