Rose Marie Davis

Rose M. Davis passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. She was born to the late Earl G. and Mary H. Barber. Rose was married to William “Glen” Davis, and they had 63 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2023. She and Glen loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. Together, they especially enjoyed the years they spent looking after and taking trips with their grandchildren, Shantelle and Bradley. Rose was a friend to everyone and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was kind-hearted, always smiling and had a great sense of humor. She worked at Merchants National Bank and Muncie Community Schools but her greatest achievements were the relationships she fostered with family and friends. Way too many to name, she loved them all. Rose faithfully served the Lord, led by example, and was a member of The Garden at Gethsemane Church. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Gene, Glynn, and Jerry Barber, and her sister Anna Bickel. She is survived by two daughters, Sheri Rodgers (James Belcher) and Susan Bourne (Jeffery); one granddaughter, Shantelle Smith (Charles); one grandson, Bradley Rodgers (Whitley); eight great grandchildren, Jaiyda, Cheyann, Falynn, Dexten Smith and Gabriel, Judah, Josiah, and Ezekial Rodgers. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor Keith Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
