He was born Sunday, June 12, 2016, in Muncie. Waylon was diagnosed with brain cancer when he was thirteen months old. He fought the fight for five and one-half years and now he is in Heaven. He loved Sesame Street and enjoyed his trip to Sesame Street World in Pennsylvania. Some of Waylon’s favorite activities were playing with Play-Dough and watching his favorite movies. He loved everybody, never met a stranger and was always friendly to everyone he met.
Survivors include his nana, Kim Bennett; mom, Kimberly Brooke (husband, Shaun) Dale; brothers and sisters, Braylin Mulford, Leelin Mulford, Mylah Mulford, Landon Dale, and Lailah Dale; maternal grandpa, Jeff Jones; great-grandma, Loretta DeWitt; aunts and uncles, Daryl and Kimberly Bennett, and Michelle and John Weldon; great-uncle, Larry Whitcomb; special family friends, Stacey and Jimmie Childers, Kimberly Wilson, Sue and Cal Kuphall, Dave and Felicia Dixon, Chuck Reagan, Jessica Atwell; Carol Clohessy, and Jerry Erwin; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Connie Jones; and his great-great-grandparents, Clayton and Janet Whitcomb.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Private burial will be in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
