Barbara L. Bowen, age 72, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at her home. She was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming to the late Robert Kenneth and Dorothy Mae Asiala Francis. Her and her family then moved to Alliance, Nebraska in August 1961. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jerry Bowen; daughters, Shonda Davenport, Tracy Taylor and her husband Wayne and Brandy Aaron and her husband Josh; sister, Becky Herian and her husband Rick; grandchildren, Chase Bowen (Jennell), Katelynn Taylor, Kaylee Davenport (Corey), Austin Aaron, Caleb Aaron and Cayden Aaron; great grandchildren, Raelyn Bowen, Camden Bowen, Emery Roden, McKinlee Roden and Casen Bowen. Graveside services to celebrate Mrs. Bowen will be at Two O’clock the afternoon of Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tom Brantley officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers. Friends are cordially invited to visitation Thursday from Twelve Noon until Two O’clock at Roselawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Bowen was a longtime member of Hillview Baptist Church and work production at General Electric here in Murfreesboro. Due to the current health situation, we will “Live Stream” the service on our Facebook page, Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens. We are also not accepting food into the funeral home. We are so saddened about Barbara. Our families spent a lot of time together growing up our girls. I know you will miss her so much. I always enjoyed talking with her.

I’m so saddened to see this. I worked with Barb at Huddleston convenience stores. Barb was such a warm hearted, familiar person that made you feel like family. Her loss is ours. My deepest condolences to the family. Prayers of comfort and peace.
