Mr. Douglas Montgomery, Sr, age 77, of Antioch, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his home with his family. Mr. Montgomery was a native of Northport, Alabama and he was the son of the late George McKinley and Velma Boswell Montgomery. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sara Martha Cork Montgomery; sons, William Randal “Randy” Montgomery and his wife, Stephannie and Douglas Montgomery, Jr and his wife Lisa Marie; grandchildren, Tiffany Marie Montgomery, Taylor Claire Montgomery and Matthew Ryan Montgomery; great grandson, Braxton Alexander Montgomery. Due to the restriction for size of gatherings, a private graveside service for Mr. Montgomery will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers Tim Huddleston, Chuck Wilson, Charlie Galloway, Larry Smith, Andy Koenerl, Chris Borno and co-workers from Advanced Auto. Mr. Montgomery was a member of the Baptist church and was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School. He found great pleasure in being dedicated to and investing time in his family.
