Emma Jean Tarpley, age 80, of Nashville, passed away at NHC in Murfreesboro. Mrs. Tarpley was the daughter of the late Samuel Brown Barnes and Annie Warren Barnes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Tarpley and daughter, Debby Byrum. She is survived by her son, Randy Tarpley; daughters, Evelyn Darrell and Trudy Barber; sister, Marjorie Barnes; 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Caris Hospice of Murfreesboro. Mrs. Tarpley’s family honored her with a private celebration.
