Herman B./Betty B. B Pate

Herman B. Pate, age 82 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Wednesday October 24, 2012. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Francis E. and Alta Pinson Pate. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty Baskin Pate, a son Kenneth H. Pate, brothers, Thomas Eugene Pate and Leland M. Pate, and sister, Pearl Pate Hilliard.

Mr. Pate is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey G. and Penny Pate of Lascassas, TN; daughter-in-law, Julie Hebble of Philadelphia, TN, sister, Eva Bennett of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Kristi, Kalyn, Clifton and Bradford Pate; four great-grandchildren; Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother Ron Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Pate was a 1947 graduate of Eagleville High School and a retired machinist from G.E. and a Locksmith for over 10 years. He was a charter member of Minerva Drive Church of Christ where he attended for over 50 years.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL. 893-5151.
