James Allen Berkheimer was born in Gary Indiana in 1951. His father was in the US Army Air Corps during WWII, which no doubt inspired him to go serve his country. James enlisted in the US Air Force in 1971. He made a 20 year career out of it, retiring in 1999. He is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. In 1977, he met the love of his life. He married her in August 1978. In 1982, he and his wife welcomed and baby girl. During his tour to Korea, in 1986, his love welcomed a second baby girl. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for the State of California with the DMV, giving the drive tests (oh the stories he had). A few years after retiring from the state, he and his family moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he said it would be his final home.
James is survived by his wife, Rosalinda and his two daughters, Kimberly and Jamie.
A service to celebrate James will be at Twelve O'clock noon on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Roselawn Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
