James David Reed

James David Reed, age 64, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his home. Mr. Reed was the son of the late Wallace and Sarah Taylor Reed. He is survived by his son, James Randy Reed and his wife Rebecca; daughter, Sherri Rene’ Mills and her husband David; sister, Debbie Reed Parsley; brother, Hollis Reed; grandchildren, Darwin Reed, James Micheal Reed and wife Hayley, Easton Reed, Lilly Reed, Rachael Reed, Cody Maynard, Chelsea Mills, Austin Mills, Reed Melton, Sydney Melton, Jakob Mills, Maggie Mills, Ciara Mills and Riley Mills; great grandchildren, Grayson Maynard and Keensley James Reed.

Services to celebrate Mr. Reed will be at Two O’clock the afternoon of Friday, January 8, 2021 at Roselawn Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Reed was a 1974 graduate of Oakland High School and he was a former employee of Lavergne Steel and Metromont as well as working for his father and then himself in the construction world in his younger years. He worked for the last nine years he worked for Global Tgermal Forman in Lavergne. He loved to go fishing and hunting, raise a garden and tending to his goats. Due to the current health situation we will “Live Stream” the service on our Facebook page, Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens- Murfreesboro, TN. We also are not accepting outside food into the funeral home. If you would like to provide that for the family, please contact them for delivery to their home.
