James Howard "Jim" Stem

Mr. Stem is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandra Hodges Stem; son Scott W. Stem (Dana); daughter Jayme Stem Sledge (Chris); grandsons Andrew Keith Stem and Cooper James William Sledge; granddaughters Janie Grayson Stem and Haylea Reece Sledge; sister Nancy Stem Ford (Garvin); and cousin Ann Stem Harper (Raymond).

Preceded in death by his son James Andrew Stem; parents Ernest Eugene and Mary Katherine Robinson Stem; and sister Betty Jo Stem Whaley.

He was an Army veteran and avid golfer who retired from a 46-year career in the construction equipment sales industry.

He taught Sunday School at Woodbine Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Belle Aire Baptist Church, and Barfield Baptist Church.

He lived his life for Christ and his passion was to bring others to Christ.

Graveside service to celebrate Mr. Stem will be at Eleven O’clock the morning of Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are cordially invited to visitation Monday evening March 27, 2023 from Four O’clock until Eight O’clock and Tuesday morning from Ten O’clock until the graveside at Eleven O’clock at Roselawn Funeral Home. Flowers are welcome and donations may also be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
