Joseph "Wayne" DeWayne Jenkins

Joseph DeWayne “Wayne” Jenkins, age 74, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna. Mr. Jenkins was the son of the late Ralph Wilson Jenkins and late Gladys Era Martin Jenkins. He is survived by his wife, Jolene Jenkins; daughter, Sheila J. Jenkins; son, Alex Jenkins and his wife Vine; step-daughters, Heather Gilley and Dawn Gilley; step-son, John Gilley, Jr. and his wife Cristina; sister, Doris Powell and her husband Bill; brother, Wilson Jenkins and his wife Margaret; Five grandchildren and Four great grandchildren and Five Step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sister, Margwright Jenkins Beard and brothers, Carl Edgar Jenkins and Frank Lee Jenkins. Services to celebrate Wayne will be at Two O’clock the afternoon of Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Roselawn Funeral Home with placement to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are cordially invited to visitation Saturday afternoon from Two O’clock until Six O’clock. Mr. Jenkins was the owner and founder of Crown Label, Inc of Lavergne. He absolutely loved to hunt for Civil War items using his metal detector. He would spend countless hours searching for objects on civil war battlefields, empty fields or on the beach. Due to the current health situation and size of gathering restrictions, we will “Live Stream” the service on our Facebook page, Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens-Murfreesboro, TN. We also are not accepting food into the funeral home. If you wish to provide that for the family, please contact them to for delivery to the home.
