Thurman Lee Montgomery

Thurman Lee Montgomery, age 86, of Smyrna, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at his home. Mr. Montgomery was the son of the late Joe “Bud” Ramsey Montgomery and Evie McGowen Montgomery. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Martha Ann Parker Montgomery. Mr. Montgomery is survived by his daughters, Donna Montgomery and Carla (Bart) King both of Smyrna; grandson, Bryce (Jessica) King of Hendersonville; sister, Eva Sumrall of Smyrna; and brother, Howard Montgomery. Services to celebrate Mr. Montgomery will be at Eleven O’clock the morning of Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Roselawn Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Leonard officiating. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. He was also preceded in death by brothers, William, Joe and Raymond Montgomery and sister, Mai Murphy. Mr. Montgomery was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church, retired from Avco Aerostructures and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. To leave thoughts or memories, visit www.roselawnfh.com.
