William Andrew “Bill” Boller, age 71, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away at his home on Monday, April 14, 2025. Bill was born on January 6, 1954 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Robert and Mary Lou Boller. On September 29, 1984, Bill was married to Cindy Dooley, and they would have two sons, Andrew and Cory.
Bill played four years of collegiate soccer at Mount Union College where he would go on to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Management in 1976. This kicked off a long career of over 42 years in the restaurant and hospitality industry. His career can be highlighted by starting and selling a small business, Tri-State Concessions, over twenty dedicated years in management at Whataburger, and over five years at Backyard Burgers as VP of Operations and eventually Director of Operations.
Bill retired from work in January of 2019 and stayed true to his nature of being devoted to his family. He was a master landscaper who always took pride in his home, having earned multiple Yard of the Month awards. He loved spending his Saturdays cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas Longhorns. He was well known for his popcorn, shrimp cocktail sauce, and extravagant breakfast meals. He jokingly self-proclaimed himself “the best short order cook this side of the Mississippi.” He wasn’t wrong!
Bill recommitted his life to Christ about 20 years ago which was made evident by his commitment to investing his time back at New Hope Christian Church in Bartlett, TN. He provided an atmosphere for his family that promoted church attendance and faith in God. His faith was a constant source of strength and comfort, especially during times of hardship.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Boller; sons, Andrew Boller and Cory Boller and his wife Rachel Boller; brother, Craig Boller and his wife Patty; and sister, Cindy Hayes and her husband Larry.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from Two O’clock until Four O’clock at Roselawn Funeral Home, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129.
