

Barbara Gale Pinkston, 75, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away on November 19, 2025, after a lengthy illness and was surrounded by the love of her family.
Born and raised in Nacogdoches, Barbara built her life, her home, and her legacy in the Woden community.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, William Pinkston, and their three sons: Michael Pinkston and wife Robbie (JJ)of Blackjack, Dewayne Pinkston of Woden, and Bradley Pinkston and wife Camille of Woden. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Michael Pinkston and wife Breanna, Shelby Martin and husband Will, Carmen Bass and husband Jared, Claire Fountain and husband Ryan, Lisa Pinkston, and Tyler Pinkston and wife Heather, as well as numerous great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She was given the name Pinkyma by her grands and felt tremendously blessed by the love shown for both her and Pinkypa by all of them.
Barbara is also survived by her siblings: Patricia Triana and husband Billy, Louise Ballard, Mary Johnson and husband Ronnie, and Sylvia Luman and husband Terry, along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ocie and Martha Denney, brothers, Jerry Denney and Granvil Denney, great granddaughter, Alaina Grace Martin and niece, Allison Barnhill.
Barbara lived a life full of warmth and simple joys. She loved to cook and was especially proud of her Cajun meatloaf, chicken & dressing, macaroni and cheese, and her famous fruit salad, that everyone loved, and she was always waiting to hear her grandchildren’s compliments. She enjoyed planting flowers, watching her favorite game shows, spending time at the Camp House with William, and just sharing moments with her family. She could always find joy in a good shopping trip. Anyone who knew Barbara knew that she loved her perfume and would always smell amazing! She loved having her nails done as well. Barbara also had a special place in her heart for her two chihuahuas, Fancy and Misty, who never left her side. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be carried in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in Sunset Memorial Chapel at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home with Bro. Ennis Fuller officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening, November 25th, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Upper Chireno Cemetery in Chireno, Texas.
