

Brenda graduated from Garrison High School in 1968. She attended cosmetology school in Marshall, Texas. Brenda retired from IBM.
Brenda was kindest and most generous and giving person. She will be missed. Her light will shine forever.
Brenda was preceded in death by her loving husband, William “Smitty” Smith Jr.; and her father, Hursey Harris.
She leaves to celebrate her cherished memories: her mother, Thelma Harris of Nacogdoches, Texas; her beloved son, Dexter “D.J.” Smith of Arvada, Colorado; grandsons, Devonte Smith and Kendrick Smith; sister, Pearl Lewis of Nacogdoches, Texas; brothers, Don (Shirley) Mast of Wichita, Kansas, Clifford (Teresa) Harris of Dallas, Texas, Jerry (Christine) Harris of Nacogdoches, Texas, Hulon Harris of Denver, Colorado, and Harold (Lisa) Harris of Smyrna, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends which she loved dearly.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Mount Olive CME Church in Garrison, Texas. Final glimpse will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the homegoing celebration service following at 1:00 p.m.
