

He graduated from Athens High School in 1948, attended Ohio University and graduated from Kettering University in 1951.Keith was able to win the hand of his wife Ursula Kathryn Green who he described as the sweetest most loyal and loving girl he ever met. Two months after their wedding in 1951 he entered the Army where he served during the Korean War.After military service he was employed by Buick Division of General Motors where he served for 40 years in various positions and locations in Lubbock, El Paso, Houston, Omaha, Los Angeles, Portland, Oregon and Buick’s home office in Flint, Michigan.
Keith enjoyed a number of hobbies in which Ursula often participated. These included boating, camping, fishing, hunting, wood working, antique furniture restoration, building and flying radio control model aircraft, and travel.Keith and Ursula were active members of the First United Methodist Church of Nacogdoches and The Open Door Sunday School class where Ursula served as pianist for more than 20 years and Keith served as vice president for two years.
Preceded in death are his parents and beloved Ursula whose death occurred on May 30, 2013.
Survivors include daughter Cindy James and husband Greg; granddaughter Katie Barnes and husband Henson of Houston; sister Pat Frank and husband Harvey of Lancaster, Ohio; brother-in-law Colonel Watson Burnfield and wife Claudia of San Antonio; niece Lori Smith and husband Matt, McKinney, Tx,; nephew Dean Burnfield San Antonio, Tx.
A Funeral Service is planned for Friday, May 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors. Rev. John Bingham and Dr. Jeff McDonald will be officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Family and friends are invited to visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service. The US Army will be present to rend military honors.
Pallbearers will include John Langford, Gary Robinson, Matt Smith, Dean Burnfield, Gregg James, and Hensen Barnes. Honorary pallbearers include
Duane Russell, Ed Cole, Bob Lawson, Bill Tucker, Harold Bogan, Watson Burnfield, Paul Drawhorn and Bill Flynn.
