
Funeral services honoring the life of Glenn C. Price, Sr., 91, were held at Bethel United Methodist Church at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 1, 2012. Officiating the services were Rev. Jonathan King, Rev. Dean Register, and Rev. Charles and Frances Freeman. Interment followed at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport, LA.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Rose-Neath Chapel in Logansport, LA from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Mr. Price was born on February 28, 1921 in Logansport, Louisiana to the late Eugene and Cecil Price and entered into rest on August 28, 2012 in Nacogdoches, TX.
He was a retired configuration management engineer at Rockwell Internal at NASA and a US Army Air Force veteran of WWII. His love for history was well known by many; he was a DeSoto Parish Historian and was the author of two published books about Logansport, LA. He was a former city council man and mayor Protem of Webster, TX. He also loved to serve; he was the president of the Webster Riding Club and a volunteer fireman. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Masonic Lodge, Arabia Temple, Scottish Rite Shrine and Bethel United Methodist Church. He was also a 60 year member of the local American Legion and past Post Commander. Mr. Price loved his family and community and will be greatly missed and cherished by them all.
Mr. Price is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Marjorie Register Price and 3 brothers, Leon Price, Teague Price, and Howard Price.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Glenn C. Price, Jr.; daughters, Anne Price Wallace and husband, Tommy and Sue Price; grandchildren, Rebecca Price, Jimmy Price and wife, Amanda, Cameron Wallace, and Ashton Lee; great grandchildren, Dawson Walker and Kelsey Price; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Honoring Mr. Price as pallbearers were Jimmy Price, Cameron Wallace, Robert Guillotte, David Wallace, Mark Wallace, and Allan Wallace. Honoring him as honorary pallbearers were his nephews.
