Heather Danielle Lindsay, 40, passed away on May 7, 2026. She was born on January 28, 1986, in Houston to Regena Youngblood Curbow and Howard Douglas Lindsay. Heather lived in Nacogdoches County, Texas, all of her life.
Heather, fondly known as “Hetty” by those who knew and loved her best, was a 2007 graduate of Woden High School. Despite many physical and medical battles throughout her life, Heather lived it to the fullest. She was a fighter who loved her life deeply despite its challenges. She was a blessing to so many and never missed an opportunity to remind others exactly how much she loved them. Heather was known for her joyful spirit, beautiful smile, and the sass that made everyone around her laugh. She loved deeply and celebrated others well. She was a child of God who loved music, family gatherings, and hearing all about the lives of those she loved.
Some of Heather’s greatest joys included spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephew. She loved Coca-Colas, sweet treats, and Lay’s potato chips. She enjoyed watching her momma cook, sharing family dinners, taking photos, and creating memories with the people she cherished most. Heather also absolutely adored her brother’s Shih Tzu, Bella, and would steal her away every chance she got for extra love and snuggles.
Heather is survived by her mother, Regena Youngblood Curbow and stepfather, Joey Curbow of Garrison; her father, Howard Douglas Lindsay of Lufkin; her brother, Gabe Lindsay and wife Amber Lindsay of Garrison; her step-sister, Keppi Fortenberry and husband Kevin of Fred; her beloved nephew and nieces, Gavin Lindsay, Addy Grace Lindsay, Lilla Fortenberry, and Mattie and Brandon Harris; her great-niece, Layla Harris; as well as the many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she adored dearly.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Burl and Athalee Youngblood, Margaret Lindsay, and Jim Lindsay; and her stepmother, Janet Lindsay.
Heather lived her life with joy, love, and a heart that made others feel seen and celebrated. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
