

Mr. Stone was born July 25, 1942, in Big Spring, Texas, to the late Bertie Mae and Homer Stone and grew up in West Texas. He was an alumni of Stephen F. Austin State University and worked several years as an accountant with Quantum Chemical in Houston. After retirement he moved to East Texas and was a rancher with the family ranch in Martinsville. His hobbies included stock trading and hunting as well as most outdoor activities and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Stanley-Stone of Nacogdoches; step-daughters, Andrea Beshuk of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Christina Stanley-Webb of Deal, United Kingdom; step-son, Charles Edward Stanley of Nacogdoches; step-grandchildren, Austin Beshuk, Abby Beshuk, Katie Beshuk, and Ellen Beshuk, all of Jefferson City, and Palin Stanley-Webb of Deal; mother-in-law, Mazelle Farmer of Nacogdoches; his sister, Charlene Langford and husband Joe Langford, two nieces and a great-nephew; and his best friend, Mark Zubik.
Services are set for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 2508 Appleby Sand Road, Nacogdoches, with Monsignor James E. Young officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 5127 North Street, Nacogdoches.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf's Sunset Chapel with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.
The family wishes to extend special appreciation to longtime caregivers Roslyn Deckard and Latreva Deckard.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
