Born December 20, 1971, he was a native and former resident of San Augustine, Texas. John Mark was a former resident of Houston County, Texas, and was most recently living in Nacogdoches working as a landman. John Mark had been a truck driver and was known by his handle, “Overtime.”
John Mark loved God and his family—he was a great protector and was always looking out for their wellbeing. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, greatest paw paw, son, and brother. Being the big guy he was, John Mark could put the fear of God in you, however, he was really just a big teddy bear who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He never met a stranger.
Although he didn’t have the classroom experience or the degrees and diplomas, he was a very smart man and it seemed there was nothing that he could not do, build, or fix. John Mark was especially a whiz working on and using computers.
His survivors include his wife, Kayla Williamson of Nacogdoches; his mother, Billie Jean Pyle Williamson of Lufkin, Texas; children, Kaleigh Williamson and husband Michael of Pineland, Texas, Chelsea Parten of Nacogdoches, Texas, Tyler Taylor of Madisonville, Texas, and Tessa Williamson of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandsons, Christian Williamson, Kameron Williamson, Ryder Garrett, Asher Williamson, and Paxxton Williamson; sisters, Debbie Dodson of Kennard, Texas, Susan Lewis of Central, Texas, and Janet Cooper of San Augustine, Texas; and brothers, Michael Williamson of San Augustine, Texas, and Steve Williamson of Longview, Texas.
John Mark was preceded in death by his father, John Alvin Williamson; a grandson, Rhett Sloan Garrett; and a brother, David W. Williamson.
