June Hensley

Betty June (Burchfield) Hensley was born in Bulah Community, Cherokee County, Texas, on March 5, 1937. She was the daughter of Alvin Allen Burchfield and Ruby Inez (Hugghins) Burchfield. She passed from this life on September 26, 2025, having attained the age of 88 years.

June graduated from high school and was united in marriage with Rock Hensley and she became a “homemaker”. But, not only did she maintain the home, she helped her husband with his business and did the bookkeeping. She was a wife, mother and a grandmother!

She played basketball, enjoyed bowling, and played softball until she was 50 years old.

June is survived by her sons, Kenny and his wife Karen Hensley and Keith and wife Gina Hensley; grandchildren, Kyle & Tina Hensley, Klint Hensley, Kody Hensley, Kellee Hensley, Colton & Brice Reeves, Shana Reeves Arrington; great grands, Kole Hensley, Kamdyn Hensley, Lucas Hensley, Jaxson Hensley, Kynadee Hensley, Tucker Hensley, Hunter Arrington and Case Reeves; sisters, Gloma Aultman, Sharron Randall, Shirley & Jim Newell, Judy Williams; brother, Randy and Kathy Burchfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rock Hensley; parents, Alvin and Ruby Burchfield; brothers-in-law, James Randall, Dan Williams, Jim Aultman; and son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Diana Hensley.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heart-to-Heart Hospice Caretakers, Ashlyn and Martha.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home followed by a committal service in Sunset Memorial Park.
