Born September 21, 1941, he was a native and former resident of Nacogdoches County, Texas. He was born to parents Johnny and Lillie Owens in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Mr. Owens was a former fire fighter with the Nacogdoches Fire Department. He enjoyed fighting fires, and he earned his Fire Science Degree. He was also trained as an ECA (first responder training) and as an EMT. Many considered Mr. Owens to be a skilled carpenter. Attending West Way Baptist Church, Lee was very passionate about the Lord and about his family.
An informal funeral service will be conducted by his family at 11:00 AM at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors on Tuesday, July 28, 2016. A private burial will take place at Holly Grove Cemetery.
