

She was born November 11, 1924, in Carthage, Texas to parents Arthur Howard Rhiddlehoover and Zona Margaret (Crump) Rhiddlehoover. Margaret and Joseph Charles Hamlin were married in 1944.
Mrs. Hamlin was a graduate of Carthage High School and East Texas Baptist University. She received her B.S. and Masters Degree in Education from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Her working career consisted of teaching elementary school in Oklahoma City and Houston, specializing in math and science. In retirement, she focused her efforts in volunteering as an ESL teacher in the HOPE Language Program at First Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Denise, and husband Rusty King; son, Stephen Earl and wife Cathy Hamlin; grandson, Brian Joseph Hamlin; granddaughter, Jenifer and husband Brad Davidson; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Abby, Annalise, Ben, and Braden Davidson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents; and brothers, Carey and James.
Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, with Dr. Allen Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, located at 5127 North Street in Nacogdoches.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 22.
