Her parents are Stacy and Gloria Rogers of Timpson, Texas. A special tribute to honor Maritza's life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors. Rev. Carlos Johnson of Mt. Olive Baptist Church will be speaking. Her grandfather, Carlos Garcia, passed away on September 10, and she will ben held in his arms. Her interment will be after her grandfather's service on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin, Texas.
Maritza is preceded in death by grandfathers, John Jacobs (Jake) and Carlos M. Garcia.
Maritza is survived by her parents; grandfather, Randolph Rogers; grandmothers, Velma Rogers Jacobs, Adelina Garcia; sister, Amelia Carranza; brother, Pedro Carranza; aunts, Charmpleasouss Adams-Sadler, Leticia Simpson, Brandy Rogers, Joanna Garcia; uncles, Antar Alfie Rogers, John Jacobs lll, James E. Garcia, Carlos Aaron Garcia; and numerous cousins.
