

Mrs. Cochran was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Nacogdoches, Texas, as a daughter of the late W.T. and Mae Christopher.
She was married April 18, 1946, to James S. Cochran of Beaumont while she was employed by the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Beaumont.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James S. Cochran of Nacogdoches; four children, Ann Cochran Summers and husband Henry, Sue Cochran Summers and husband William, James Michael Cochran, and Joyce Cochran Russell and husband Lono; sister, Melva Hines; brother-in-law, Charles A. Hancock; six grandchildren, Cheryl Fenlason and husband Allen of Fort Collins, Colorado, Craig Summers and wife Charene of Nacogdoches, Texas, Tracey Brewer and husband Ted of Mesquite, Texas, Kristi Courvelle and husband Richard of Nacogdoches, Texas, Carrie Hobbs and husband Roy of Balch Springs, Texas, and April Parrish and husband Todd of Woden, Texas; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
She is predeceased by her parents; one sister, Mavis Christopher Hancock; brother-in-law, James M. Hines; two great-great grandchildren, MacKenna Grace Martinez and Baby Hobbs.
Funeral services have been set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, located at 2548 FM 2112 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church or New Faith Baptist Church.
