She was born December 6, 1925, to Ida Phillips Kelly and Joseph Clifton Kelly.
On December 21, 1947, she married Bob Whitley from Bryan, Texas. They had one son, Clifton Philip, born November 15, 1960. She was preceded in death by Bob and Cliff.
She is survived by her only grandchild, Philip Colquit Whitley and his wife, Meagan May Whitley of Mount Enterprise, and his mother, Delinda Whitley Sowders, who has been Hayden’s compassionate caregiver for the last five years; and a brother-in-law, Jimmy Whitley of Bryan.
Her family wishes to acknowledge and extend apreciation to the Oak Manor staff of employees, DC1 Dialysis, and Heart to Heart Hospice. A special thank you also goes to her sitters who helped maintain her respect and dignity in her last days.
