Ray Allen Patterson Jr.

Ray Allen Patterson, Jr., of Nacogdoches, formerly of Covington, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, in Nacogdoches at the age of 72. He was born October 29, 1945, in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents Ray Allen Patterson, Sr. and Lois (Koepp) Patterson.

Ray was a graduate of St. Paul’s School and a veteran of The United States Navy. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ray is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dorothy Wagner Patterson; daughter, Sherae Patterson Robards (Kim); son, Ray A. Patterson III (Jennifer); grandchildren Alex, Emily, Adam, Max, Evan and Charlie.

Ray had a special place in his heart for animals. He shared his love with many dogs and cats throughout his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter or to The Humane Society, 3211 SW Stallings Drive, Nacogdoches, Texas 75964.
