She was born on December 8, 1935 to Stefan and Florence Stark Mihail in Beaumont, Texas and had lived in Nacogdoches since 1979. She was a member of the First Assembly of God on Southwest Stallings Drive.
Survivors: her husband, Earnest Babbitt; a son, Charles William Starnes; two grandsons, Charles Starnes III and Christopher Starnes; two brothers, Winston Mahail and Steve Mahail; and two sisters, Florence Beason and Juanita Wallace.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.
A private family interment will take place at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing, Texas.
Friends are invited to a visitation two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
