Rita Mae Doak, 101, of Nacogdoches passed away peacefully in Nacogdoches, TX, Thursday afternoon, March 19, 2020. She was born to John L. Chaffin and Della Maude Young Chaffin on July 15, 1918, in Tioga, Texas. Rita made a wonderful home for her family and was a faithful and active member of the Church of Christ for 89 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed being an artist, quilting, and was an avid traveler.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Graves-Woodson; step-son, Dale Doak; grandchildren, Jana White, Ethan White, Amy Blish, Heather Presley and Rebecca Nelson; great-grandchildren, Ethan White, Jr., Jackson White, Margaret White, Isabel Blish, Lily Blish, Amelia Blish, Alex Presley, Emma Presley and Jesse Hernandez-White.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands, James Odom Graves and Stanley Doak; daughter, Glenda Graves-White.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Tioga Cemetery in Tioga, Texas.
