

Robert Harold Tollefson, 74, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed into the loving arms of our Lord on Friday, February 12, 2016. Bob was born in Neenah, Wisconsin, on October 9, 1941, to Margaret Hansen Tollefson and Harold Tollefson.
After graduation he joined the United States Coast Guard and was assigned to the Coast Guard Academy in Groton, Connecticut, where he trained to be a Hospital Corpsman. He sailed on the Coast Guard Cadet Training Ship “The Eagle” to France and England and was then assigned to the Coast Guard District Medical Office in San Francisco, California. He met his future wife, Carol Cirullo Tollefson, at work where she was a secretary to six Coast Guard officers.
They were married in Pueblo, Colorado, on June 29, 1963. Bob graduated from The University of California at Berkeley and worked as a Hospital Administrator for 36 years. He was the Executive Director of the Nacogdoches Area Physicians Association until his retirement in 2007.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carol; and daughter, Kim Tollefson of Tyler, Texas.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Gary (Linda) Tollefson of Waynesville, North Carolina; brother-in-law, Frank (Nancy) Cirullo of Pueblo, Colorado; sister-in-law, Rose Ann Cirullo (Bob Montieth); and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Catholic Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Cason Monk-Metcalf's Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, with Monsignor James E. Young officiating.
Memorials of your choice may be made to the American Lung Association, St. Mary’s University Chapel, or Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund.
