

William L. Sheehan, M.D. of Mount Enterprise, Texas, was born on March 9, 1930, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, and passed away in his home on November 1, 2025, at the age of 95. He was the son of Sam and Pearl Opal (Pope) Sheehan.
Bill graduated from Sapulpa High School in Sapulpa, OK, and from Oklahoma State University (1950-1952) with a Bachelor of Science degree. He earned his Medical Degree from Baylor University College of Medicine (1956-1960). He completed his residency in Urology in 1965 and was certified as a Diplomate with the American Board of Urology in 1970. Dr. Sheehan was a practicing Urologist for 37 years in Houston and was a member of the Harris County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Society, the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons, the Texas Urological Society, and the American Urological Association. He held the following offices: President, Texas Urological Society (1995-96); Chief of Surgery, Memorial Southeast (1968-70; 1988-90); Chief of Staff, Memorial Southeast (1977-78); Chief of Staff, Memorial System (1980); Member at Large, Executive Board, Harris County Medical Society (1973-77); Founding Member, Board of Trustees, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center; Delegate to the Texas Medical Association (1973-80). Before his medical schooling, Bill was a lieutenant in the US Navy, serving as a Diving and Explosive Ordnance Disposal expert during the Korean War. He served in the Naval Reserves after his honorable discharge.
Bill's hobbies and personal interests included woodworking, Building and remodeling, Gardening, Hunting, Sailing, Scuba Diving, Skiing, and most of all, his Grandchildren.
Dr. Sheehan survived by his wife, Becka Sheehan of 39 years; son, William Luther Sheehan II; daughter, Suzanne Dillmann and husband, Henry; step-son, Stephen Allen and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, William Christopher Sheehan, Nicholas James Sheehan, Juliet Guerrero and husband Micah, Elisabeth Grace Brown and husband, Cade, Isabella Allen, and Caleb Allen; great-granddaughter, Isla Ruth Guerrero; step-granddaughter, Michelle Clynch; step-great-granddaughter, Anasty Guthrie; sister, Sallie Taylor and brother, Pat Sheehan and wife Aimee, and nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Sam Sheehan and Pearl Opal Pope Sheehan; his stepmother, Doris Sheehan; his first wife, Ella Eager Sheehan; his sister, Betty Krebs; his brother, Sam Sheehan and his wife, Wanda; his son, Michael Sherman Sheehan; and his grandson, Michael Sean Sheehan.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held for Dr. Sheehan on Monday, November 10, at 11:00 A.M. in South Park Pearland Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.
Instead of flowers, donations in memory of Dr. Sheehan are made payable to Mount Enterprise High School Theater Arts Department.
